Iron Man

That's right: Iron Man, replete with an intro including Black Sabbath's song of the same name.

I give it three-and-a-half stars. I really wasn't disappointed with it -- it was exactly what I expected it would be. Fun, completely unrealistic, with a number of surprises that mix it up for good measure. I enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed Stealth (which Logan and I went to instead of going to Hooters, for the record).

For those acquainted with Marvel comics and/or their movies, two nuggets of particular interest: Stan Lee's cameo as Hugh Hefner and the introduction of SHIELD (an area which, surprisingly, none of the X-Men or Spider-Man movies have ventured into).

Bottom line, it's a fun summer movie to see in the theatre. (Especially if your mom isn't going to call out during a brief semi-sexual scene "What did you bring me to?!") However, considering the movies that are coming (Indiana Jones and The Dark Knight in particular) save your dough and make Iron Man a matinee.
